Join the Salem Arts Association!

The Salem Arts Association welcomes anyone interested in the arts to become a member. Our focus is on advancing the arts in Salem, Massachusetts, but you do not have to be a Salem resident to join.

Memberships are available for artists and non-artists alike, be they individuals, organizations, retailers, groups, or corporations.

Membership Classes, Levels, and Benefits

There are two (2) classes of membership: Artist and Associate. The primary differences between the two classes are that Artist Members must meet certain documentation requirements and that, for having met those requirements, Artist Members receive certain additional benefits, including voting privileges.

For each class, there are five levels of dues as laid below.

Individual ($50*)

Associate Benefits
Member Card good for the following:

• Free or discounted SAA classes, programs, and events
• 5% discount in the SAA Gallery and from member artists during official SAA-sponsored sales/shows
• Discounts from local businesses and organizations including:
• 40% off custom framing at the Art Corner
• $3 off ticket prices at Salem Theatre Company mainstage productions
• additional discounts (coming soon!)

Artist Benefits
All Associate Member Benefits, plus

• Voting privileges
• Listing with blurb, images, and URL on the SAA website
• Eligibility to submit work to member exhibitions/events
• No fee submissions to open exhibitions/events
• Lower consignment percentage (20% instead of 40%) on sales in the SAA Gallery and other SAA exhibitions/events

 *Discounts are available:

• Individual dues may be reduced to $25 for individuals who volunteer at least 25 hours over the course of their membership year (approximately 2 hours/month). Please email the volunteer coordinator for the code prior to applying or renewing.
• Individual dues may be reduced to $15 for students attending any educational program at least half-time (proof of enrollment required). Please email your proof of enrollment to the membership committee for the code prior to applying or renewing.

Household ($80**)

Benefits
All Individual (Artist or Associate) benefits for up to four (4) people in the same household.

** Household dues may be reduced to $50 for households whose members volunteer at least 50 hours (collectively) over the course of their membership year (approximately 4 hours/month). Please email the volunteer coordinator for the code prior to applying or renewing.

Donor — Supporter ($100) / Patron ($150) / Benefactor ($200)

Benefits
All Individual (Artist or Associate) benefits for up to two (2) people at the same mailing address, plus recognition in our semi-annual eMagazine S'ART and on the SAA website (at a minimum — we're always looking for new ways to acknowledge our donors and sponsors).
