Spring Fling and Earthly Delights

Salem will host its first Spring Fling: A Garden Of Earthly Delights Saturday, March 15 at Old Town Hall. The festival, which is fashioned after the Bacchanalia — a religious festival in honor of the wine god Dionysus or, as the Romans called him, Bacchus — will jumpstart spring
by indulging in the finest wines, craft beers and food from the North Shore.

Spring Fling will feature a tasting of more than 50 fine wines and international and domestic craft beers, with brewery representatives and wine professionals on hand. Salem restaurants such as The Old Spot, Finz, 62 on the Wharf and Rockafellas will provide the food.

The work of North Shore artists will be displayed and Boston singer-songwriter Katrin Roush will perform. Meet familiar characters from myth and legend and seek out The Oracle of Delphi to hear your fortune. Traditional ancient attire is encouraged.
