Artist Bio or Résumé
I have a BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University and began working in graphic art, advertising and marketing. I was an Art Director for ten years, then owned a picture frame business, learned web design and became a web administrator. Afterwards, I became a Marketing Director for ten years. After that I formed a nonprofit Art Gallery and studio in Waukegan , IL which continues to be active in that community. Currently, I am retired and since moving to the Boston area in 2019 I have enjoyed drawing and painting around town. My wife and I moved to Lynn in 2021.
Artist Statement
I paint to explore, make mistakes and experiment with processes and techniques using acrylic and oil media. I draw to reawaken my basic instinct for art which is to discover the beauty of observation and manual documentation with a goal of creating something compelling.
