Artist Bio or Résumé
Joe Skahan is a North Shore Based mixed media artist. He creates nautically inspired linocut prints, cards, t-shirts, stickers and more!!!! He also utilizes items found at the beach in his art like driftwood, sea glass, rope, buoys, etc. Joe graduated from Westfield State University in 2004 with an undergraduate in Visual Art Education. He currently teaches special education in the Lynn Public Schools and resides in Salem.
Artist Statement
My inspiration comes from the sea and the natural world around us. From its creatures and dark depths, to the myths of mermaid and pirates!
