We are pleased to announce a digital photo contest focused on capturing the beauty, essence, nature and uses--in each of the four seasons, of
Salem Sound and its watershed communities of Beverly, Danvers, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Peabody and Salem.
Our goal is to capture the flavor of Salem Sound, including its watershed. The Salem Sound ecosystem includes the salt marshes, rocky coastline, beaches, waters, harbors and islands in Salem Sound, as well as the upland rivers, ponds and streams that flow into Salem Sound.
Photos should depict images showing the themes Salem Sound Coastwatch is passionate about: preserving, protecting and renewing our waters and marine habitats for recreational and commercial uses. Photos may include activities and/or wildlife using these natural resources.
Highlights:
•Participants can submit up to 2 photos per month.
•Contest is open to all ages and levels of experience.
•There is a one-time entry fee of $5 for SSCW members; $15 for non-members. Become a member at $35 or above and entry fee is waived!
•Prizes include "Best in Show" - $100.
